Through these incisions, tissue and fat are removed and a breast lift is performed to help tighten the remaining tissues, remove skin, reposition the nipple-areola complex, and sculpt the breast.
Following breast reduction, most women are thrilled with their new physique, the reduced pain in their back, neck, and chest, and the ease they experience when shopping for bras and clothing.
Does Insurance Cover Breast Reduction?
Insurance rarely covers cosmetic procedures because they are considered to be elective; however, breast reduction is sometimes one of the rare exceptions. If you can prove that your overly large breasts are contributing to unnecessary back pain, there is a chance that insurance may contribute.
