What Is Halo™?

Halo™ is a non-invasive laser treatment that revitalizes and restores your skin. The dual laser technology uses two laser wavelengths to synergistically repair and rejuvenate your skin’s quality and appearance. While one laser targets the top layer (epidermis) of your skin to reduce pigment and restore a radiant glow, the second laser targets the deeper layer of skin (dermis) to reverse years of damage.

This process causes your body to increase its collagen and elastin production. This is important because collagen and elastin are the proteins responsible for the overall quality, health, and elasticity of the skin. In essence, Halo™ works by activating your own healing process, causing your body to naturally refresh the treated areas.

Why Are the Benefits of Halo™ Laser Treatments?

Halo™ is effective and safe for most skin types and can be used to treat skin concerns on the face and body (including the hands, arms, legs, and chest). This laser treatment can be used to address several cosmetic issues, including:

  • Sun damage
  • Sunspots
  • Wrinkles
  • Scars
  • Enlarged pores
  • Pigmentation on the skin

In addition to helping women and men achieve a more youthful skin appearance, there’s very little discomfort with this non-invasive procedure, and most patients experience no downtime, meaning that they can get back to their lives immediately after their treatment session.

Am I a Candidate for the Halo™ Laser Treatment?

The Halo™ laser treatment can be an effective option for adult women and men who suffer from various skin concerns on the face and/or body. Ideal candidates should be in good general health and have realistic expectations for their results.

At your consultation, one of our specialists will evaluate your skin condition to determine if Halo™ is the right treatment option for you.

How Is Halo™ Performed?

For your comfort, a numbing cream will be applied prior to treatment. The Halo™ handpiece will then be focused over the target area, and the hybrid fractional laser will be delivered into the skin. The procedure typically lasts from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your specific goals. Your body’s own healing action will cause pigment from the damaged skin to peel off in the first few days after the procedure. Additionally, the heat from the Halo™ laser promotes the production of proteins in the dermis, which offers continued improvement.

What Are Your Concerns About Halo™?

What Will My Recovery From Halo™ Be Like?

After your Halo™ session, you can expect to have some swelling and discoloration in the treated area. However, there is no recovery time or downtime needed.

Is Halo™ Painful?

Your Halo™ laser skin treatment is very tolerable. Some patients have reported a warm and tingling sensation during their treatment but not pain. While you may feel some discomfort after your treatment, this discomfort can be mediated by applying cold compresses to the treated skin and taking over-the-counter pain medication.

Does Halo™ Leave Scars?

Depending on the level of treatment, your top layer of skin can peel. While the Halo™ treatment itself does not create scars, picking at or itching your peeling skin can cause scars to develop on your skin. This is one of the main reasons why it is so important to follow your post-treatment instructions.

Halo™ FAQ

How long does it take to see my Halo™ results?

You’ll start to see your results after four to five days, which includes tighter skin and better tone and texture. It can take two to three weeks to see your final results. However, because this treatment boosts the amounts of collagen and elastin in your skin, you will be able to see continued results after your treatment.

How long will my Halo™ results last?

The results you receive from your Halo™ skin treatment can be long lasting. In fact, many patients notice their stunning results years after their treatment. By maintaining a healthy lifestyle and a good skin care routine (which includes limiting direct sun exposure and wearing sunblock when out in the sun), you can prolong your stunning results.

Is Halo™ safe?

Halo™ is a safe and accurate treatment that refreshes and reinvigorates your skin with no recovery time. In fact, Halo™ is the first and only FDA-approved fractional laser available to women and men. Additionally, the trusted team at Westchester Surgical Arts will ensure that your health and safety come first.

How much is Halo™ in New York?

The cost of Halo™ laser treatments varies between patients, depending on the extent of correction needed, including the number of treatment areas. During your consultation, you will receive a financial estimate.
