How is a breast reduction performed?
During your initital consultation at our Westchester Surgical Arts offices with trusted cosmetic surgeon Dr. Karlinsky, she will give you a complete and informative rundown of the entire process, including precautions to take prior to your breast lift procedure, anesthesia preparation, and surgical techniques.
Your breast reduction surgery with Dr. Karlinsky will take around three hours. After anesthesia, a series of incisions around the areola of each breast will be made. Excess tissue from the top and sides will be removed until the desired size and shape are reached.
Because this is a surgical procedure that does require general anesthesia, Dr. Karlinsky will perform your breast lift in New York City at her Manhattan facility. No overnight stay is necessary and transportation to and from will be provided by us, so you won’t have any extra worries when it comes time to undergo the operation. For your convenience, all follow-up appointments will take place at our Westchester Surgical Arts offices.
