Women (and men) seek breast surgery for a variety of reasons from correcting breast asymmetry to increasing size to breast reduction for enlarged male breasts. We provide several breast procedures to address these cosmetic and medical concerns and more, including:
Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation increases the bust using breast implants or fat grafting. Dr. Karlinsky can give you the breast size and contour you’re looking for with saline or silicone implants or through fat transfer breast augmentation. Both options come with benefits and drawbacks. Implants provide a specific, measurable increase and silicone implants are well-known for their natural look and feel. However, there’s the risk of visible rippling and capsular contracture.
Fat transfer breast enhancement comes with the perk of liposuction to remove fat from a stubborn area to add volume to the breasts. As the procedure uses your fat cells, there are fewer risks than implanting a foreign object. But the fat transfer method may not achieve your desired size due to fat re-absorption during recovery.
This breast procedure can address uneven breasts and help correct breast deformities such as tuberous breasts that fail to develop fully during puberty. Breast reconstruction often involves breast implants, as well. Learn more about Breast Augmentation
Breast Lift
The breast lift, or mastopexy, removes excess skin and repositions the underlying muscles and tissues to provide a perkier bust. The procedure also moves the areolas (nipples) to a higher position to restore a youthful placement. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss, and simple gravity all have a significant impact on the state of your breasts. You may have moderate to severe breast ptosis (drooping) and loose skin. A breast lift can be combined with breast augmentation or a breast reduction to maximize the desired results. Learn more about Breast Lift.
Breast Reduction
Reduction mammoplasty, or a breast reduction, is typically performed for cosmetic or medical purposes to alleviate painful symptoms and lifestyle interferences women with large breasts face on a daily basis. You may experience back, neck, or shoulder pain on top of clothing and exercise restrictions. Male breast reduction is also available for men who struggle with “gynecomastia,” a medical condition which causes male breast tissue to become swollen and inflamed. Breast Revision
Breast Revision is a secondary breast surgery that removes and replaces damaged or unwanted breast implants. This procedure allows women to fine tune to results of their initial breast augmentation or correct complications that have arisen with their implants to restore breast aesthetics and health. Inverted Nipple Surgery
Inverted nipples may be congenital, but they can also occur with surgical scarring, aging, weight loss, or pregnancy. Whatever the cause, inverted nipples can cause discomfort—from impacting milk production in lactating women to negatively affecting confidence and self-esteem. Inverted nipples surgery detaches the tissues and releases the duct tension to allow the nipples to produce outward. Learn more about Inverted Nipple Surgery.
